Description
My Mexican indigenous heritage and the current state of the world inspired me to do this piece.
The Mexica (known as the Aztecs) believed that four preceding suns or ages in history existed prior to our current one. "Nahui Ollin" is the fifth sun over our current world. The fifth world will be destroyed through a series of catastrophic events, just like the previous four worlds. There have been so many catastrophic events within the last 5 years that I felt the need to do a piece with a message and warning. We cannot stop the world from ending one day, but we can change many things so that the world doesn't decay as fast. Let's start change now.
